Collected Poems by W. H. Auden (Vintage International, edited by Edward Mendelson)

This is the standard one-volume collection of W. H. Auden's poetry, one of the major poets of the twentieth century. It covers his work from the late 1920s to his death in 1973. Mendelson, Auden's literary executor, follows the order and final versions Auden chose himself. The book includes many of his best-known poems: "September 1, 1939," "Musée des Beaux Arts," "In Memory of W. B. Yeats," "Funeral Blues" and "The Shield of Achilles." It also contains his longer works, including "The Sea and the Mirror" and "The Age of Anxiety."

Condition: Paperback. Used, in good condition. The cover shows some signs of wear and some bumps. The interior pages are in good condition, with very slight yellowing.
